As part of our effort to establish a dynamic Electrical Engineering curriculum, we are seeking an individual who will play a critical role in the furthering development and delivery of the new bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering. Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, research, and mentoring in a close-knit academic environment.

Responsibilities: 

We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Electrical Engineering faculty member to teach and develop undergraduate courses in electrical engineering. The candidate will contribute to the design of the curriculum, with courses in subjects such as circuits, signals and systems, digital logic, electromagnetics, electronics, and power systems. Additionally, the successful candidate will support the ABET accreditation process, participate in research, and provide mentorship to students, including supervising capstone projects. Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (ABD candidates with an expected completion date will also be considered).

  • A demonstrated ability to conduct research in a mechanical engineering-related area and to involve undergraduates in research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate level, particularly in a small college or university setting.
  • Experience with ABET accreditation processes.
  • A record of research, grants, and/or industry collaboration that enhances the educational experience of students.

The candidate will also engage in scholarly research that involves undergraduate students, contribute to departmental and college-wide service, and actively participate in the ABET accreditation process.

Computer Science/Cybersecurity Instructor (Remote)

Open Rank Cybersecurity Faculty

Courses are taught using the new Cybersecurity Lab, the Software Engineering Hub, 3-D Printer/Networking Lab, and the VR/Robotics Lab.

Open Rank-Faculty Physical Therapy (DPT)

Position Type: Full-Time, Tenure-Track, 12 month

Location: Quincy University (Hybrid)

Quincy University is seeking a dynamic and experienced physical therapist/physical therapy educator to join our hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program as a founding core faculty member. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative, hybrid physical therapy program being designed to combine online didactic learning with hands-on lab experiences to meet the diverse needs of today’s physical therapy students. We are looking for a candidate with a research agenda and expertise in neurologic physical therapy. Experience in hybrid or remote instruction is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Teaching: Develop and deliver high-quality instruction in the hybrid DPT Facilitate both online learning experiences and in-person lab sessions, integrating clinical expertise and evidence-based practice to enhance student learning.
  • Service: Participate in departmental, school, and university committees, and contribute to curriculum development, program assessments, strategic initiatives, and Mentor students and serve as an advisor for their academic and career development.
  • Clinical Practice: Maintain clinical engagement to support licensure and credentials, providing real-world insight and staying current with developments in physical therapy practice.
  • Research: Develop and maintain an active research agenda.

Minimum Qualifications

  •  Education: Doctorate (DPT, PhD, EdD, or equivalent) in Physical Therapy or a related field.
  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Physical Therapist with licensure in the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain licensure within six months).
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Experience: Prior experience teaching in a hybrid or online DPT program
  • Certification: Board certification in Neurologic Physical Therapy (NCS) or related specialization

Salary: $96,000-$106,000

Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program Faculty (Remote)

Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Franciscan tradition, seeks applicants for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track, faculty member in Occupational Therapy.  Specialties of interest include pediatrics, neurorehabilitation, or upper extremity rehabilitation. This faculty member will be the fourth program faculty hire, joining the Capstone Coordinator, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, and reporting to the Program Director.

Quincy University is planning to launch hybrid doctoral degree programs in Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy in January 2026.  QU is on track with ACOTE accreditation for OTD and CAPTE accreditation for DPT, and HLC accreditation to offer doctoral programs.

New laboratory and teaching spaces are currently being constructed as part of a $4.2 million facilities remodeling project.  Remote work is possible.

Responsibilities: The Faculty Member in the Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program at Quincy University will provide high-quality teaching, mentorship, and academic advising to students in the hybrid OTD program. This position is responsible for designing and delivering innovative, evidence-based, and occupation-focused curricula that align with the program’s mission and ACOTE standards. Faculty will also engage in scholarly activities, professional service, and community outreach to advance occupational therapy education and practice

Qualifications (ACOTE, 2023, A.2.2 and A.2.5):

Professional Credentials:  Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in Illinois.

Educational Background: Doctorate in occupational therapy (OTD, PhD, EdD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

Experience: At least 3 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy.  Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based and occupation-focused practice.

Preferred experience:  Previous teaching experience in occupational therapy or higher education.  Record of scholarly work, including research, publications, or presentations.  Experience with hybrid or online learning platforms.  Familiarity with ACOTE standards and curriculum development.

Salary: $83,250-$92,500 based on experience

    • Resolve booklist issues and coordinate sufficient textbook supplies with faculty and all vendors
    • Coordinate with Registrar’s office on timelines for course and book adoptions
    • Communicate with Chairs and faculty on how to resolve ISBN issues
    • Schedule book returns and ship returns to Akademos
    • Oversee operations and customer service for on-line store and perform follow-ups with vendor for all online consumer issues.
  • Participates in execution of store specific projects such as renovations and reorganizations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years in management
  • Strong customer skills, including superior relationship building skills

Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, the Director will play a key role in cultivating donor relationships, managing fundraising campaigns, and ensuring the University’s development goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to support annual, endowment, and grant giving.
  • Identify, cultivate, and personally solicit a portfolio of prospective donors.
  • Research and write compelling grant proposals, building strong relationships with public and private grant-making agencies.
  • Implement a donor stewardship plan to maintain and enhance relationships with current and potential donors.
  • Manage and track fundraising campaigns, projects, and advancement budgets.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of donor and constituency databases.
  • Represent Quincy University in the community, promoting the University’s mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with University leadership to align fundraising initiatives with institutional priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Advancement and the President.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Alumni status with Quincy University preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related fields.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in data management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed.

Twelve-month position.

Position Overview: The University is seeking a dynamic, student-centered individual to join our team as an Undergraduate Programs Academic Advisor. This twelve-month, full-time position will report to the Associate Provost/Director of Academic Advising and be a vital member of the academic advising team, ensuring that undergraduate students receive the guidance and support needed for academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized academic advising to undergraduate students, assisting them in course selection, degree planning, and academic goal setting.
  • Assist students in navigating academic challenges, including helping with course withdrawals, grade concerns, and personal academic obstacles.
  • Monitor student academic progress and offer proactive support to ensure timely degree completion.
  • Work with students to develop academic plans and strategies for success, considering their unique goals and academic interests.
  • Advise on co-curricular opportunities, exploratory internships, research, and extracurricular activities that complement academic development.
  • Serve as a resource for university policies, procedures, and degree requirements.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support students’ academic success and wellbeing.
  • Conduct workshops and information sessions related to academic advising, career exploration, and student success.
  • Participate in advising-related committees and university events as needed.
  • Supervise tutoring services.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a degree field offered by Quincy University.
  • Experience in academic advising, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students.
  • Familiarity with academic programs, policies, and student success resources in a higher education setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a degree field offered by Quincy University.
  • At least two years’ experience in advising undergraduate students in a university setting.
  • Knowledge of current trends in student success, retention, and advising best practices.
  • Familiarity with academic and career counseling tools, resources, and strategies.

Position Start Date: June 2. 2025

Salary:  $44,336-$55,539

Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach

Assist the Head Coach with coaching duties and the overall operation of the Men’s Soccer program.

Responsibilities:

  •  Serves as a representative of the University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the QU community and with the public.
  •  Assist the Head Coach with the training and coaching of assigned student-athletes.
  •  Assist with the scouting and recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
  •  Assist with the promotion of the men’s soccer program
  •  Coordinate and monitor academic retention program for men’s soccer
  •  Assist with the scheduling of opponents.
  •  Assist with team travel for soccer
  •  Abide by the policies, regulations, and rules of the NCAA, conference, and Quincy University, including the Quincy University Code of Ethics for Coaches.
  •  Assist with the monitoring and enforcement of players’ conformity to the Quincy University Code of Ethics for Student-Athletes.
  •  Organize activities of QU Soccer Camps/Clinics
  •  Manage strength and conditioning program for student-athletes.

Bus Driver

Quincy University is seeking a responsible and experienced Bus Driver to join the Quincy University Athletics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting our student-athletes, coaches, and staff to and from sporting events and activities in a timely and courteous manner.

Rate of Pay: $25.00

 Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a bus on assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws and university policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, including helping with luggage and equipment.
  • Ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers during transport.
  • Communicate effectively with team coordinators, and other staff members.
  • Handle emergencies and incidents calmly and efficiently, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, reporting any issues to maintenance staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
