Description

Reporting to the Associate AD/Revenue Generation, the Assistant Director of Revenue Generation/Annual Fund will be charged with the planning, execution, and growth of the Cougar Athletic Excellence Fund. This position will work in collaboration with the athletics administration, SIUE Foundation, and our head coaches to plan and execute annual fundraising strategies and events that support the needs and initiatives of each sport program.

This position will play a pivotal role in spearheading Giving Tuesday and One Day, One SIUE initiatives in collaboration with the Office of Advancement and SIUE Foundation. This role will work closely with the Director of Development and head coaches to create and implement annual fundraising strategies and events that support the needs and aspirations of each sports program. Additionally, the Assistant Director of Revenue Generation/Annual Fund will work with the Assistant AD/Administration and Special Events team to organize top-tier donor stewardship and fundraising events, including the highly anticipated Red & Black Benefit, Cougar Champions Classic, and basketball hospitality. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Work in conjunction with the Assistant AD/Administration and Special Events  and the Associate AD Revenue Generation to plan and execute donor stewardship and fundraising events, including but not limited to: the Cougar Champions Classic Golf Outing, Red & Black Benefit, & sport specific alumni events.  
  • Direct all aspects of the Cougar Excellence Fund annual giving program, including building an annual fund benefit program & coordinate annual fund solicitations and communications. Assist in directing all cultivation, stewardship and solicitation strategies for private support from donors and prospects.
  • Assists with the execution of suite operations for basketball game days and other special VIP events to ensure a great experience for the donors utilizing the spaces.  Actively promote and recruit donors/prospective donors to attend events to assist cultivation efforts.
  • Utilize Raisers Edge to update the athletics donor database including data entry and up keep of information, donations received, benefit levels, special requests, and donor classifications.
  • Work in collaboration with the Director of Development and our head coaches to plan and execute annual fundraising strategies and events that support the needs and initiatives of each sport program.
  • Hire, train, and supervise all staff and volunteers necessary for fundraising events, special events, annual fund events.

 

Work Schedule: This position is full-time, requiring 37.5 hours per week. 

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  1. Bachelors degree in Sports Administration, Business Sales, or a related field. 
  2. One (1) year of experience with fundraising preferably in an athletics-related field - Work as a graduate assistant may be considered
  3. Experience with Microsoft Office 
  4. Position requires considerable initiative, creativity, and independence Evidence of strong communication skills
