Summary

This position is responsible for the creation, production, operation and execution of media and entertainment strategies relative to the operation of the video and LED displays in any building on campus with a videoboard. This position also creates additional athletics department programming for distribution throughout BGSU channels including on-campus cable, off-campus cable, and web streaming.

Essential Functions

  • Produce video features, scoreboard graphics, promotional, and other game-related content for multiple athletic events across several media platforms
  • Manage fan experience through creative and interactive use of video, music and LED displays while coordinating the execution of in-game sponsorships and marketing initiatives
  • Work with outside service providers on gameday video production distribution
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise student staff who work office hours, games, and other select functions

Minimum Qualifications

The following Degree is required:

  • Bachelor's Degree.  Degree must be conferred at time of application.

The following Degree is preferred:
  • Broadcast Production, Communication, Media, Sports Administration, Sport Management, or a related field


The following Experience is required:

  • 1 year of experience in video design, content development, video game-day design and production

The following licenses, certifications, or registrations is required:
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with the University’s vehicle use policy.    
  

Additional Information

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • General knowledge of sports
  • General knowledge of video (cameras, video equipment, formats, etc) 
  • Working knowledge of a sports specific video editing system (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, After Effects, Streamclip, etc)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Knowledge of a post-production system
  • Good communication skills
  • Organizational skills 
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • General computer knowledge
