Job Description

Alabama State University, Intercollegiate Athletics, invites applications to fill the position of Head Coach, Women's Flag Football. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and developing aspiring women flag football players as a member of the Intercollegiate Athletics department. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach and coach student-athletes during practice and competition
  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit potential team members
  • Supervise assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and work-study students
  • Serve as the primary contact for the program
  • Lead at least two community service projects annually with the team
  • Represent the University at local meetings relating specifically to women's flag football
  • Work with the Strategic Communications team to provide accurate data for individuals, team accomplishments, and scores

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, 3 years of football coaching experience, college recruiting experience, coaching experience as a head coach, certified in First Aid/CPR, demonstrated team building, leadership and organizational skills, valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required.  Must be willing to work non-traditional schedules to include night, weekends and holidays.
