● Work as part of the Student-Athlete Development team to provide a range of academic and personal development support services to students from all backgrounds in regard to their academic planning and degree progress by utilizing professional advising and guidance skills.
● Maintain positive connections with faculty and staff in the focus area to facilitate student connections.
● Monitors student progress and suggests and implements corrective actions with students who encounter academic difficulties. Meets with students with academic probation suspension or academic misconduct issues.

● Maintain academic records and communicate complex university and NCAA academic requirements, policies, and deadlines to prospective and current student-athletes, parents, coaches, administrators, faculty, and staff.
● Work with other academic advisors to develop, manage, implement, and monitor strategic study programs, to include mentoring and tutoring sessions for student-athletes, assess the needs of at-risk student-athletes and develop strategic study plans.
● Have a strong working knowledge and understanding of all NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to academic standards.
● Served as the liaison between the International Student Services on campus.
● This position will be required to work some nights and weekends when necessary.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the tasks at hand.
● Demonstrate a strong understanding of institutional policies.
● Good knowledge of discussing career and educational goals with students and identifying student strengths and weaknesses.
● Experience in student counseling, development, education, or a related field.
● Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations.
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.
● Master’s degree.
● Two (2) years of professional experience in a related field.
● One (1) + years of experience working in collegiate athletics.
● Knowledge of academic advising and degree progress towards graduation.

Salary starting at $49,500/annually and is commensurate with experience. Boise State University provides a best-in-class benefits package , including (but not limited to):
