Position Summary:

Join the University of Dayton, a top-tier Catholic research institution, and become part of our esteemed Athletics division. We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide exceptional care and support to our student-athletes, ensuring their optimal performance and well-being.

The assistant athletic trainer will provide and coordinate athletic training services for assigned teams and other student-athletes; maintain records and supplies; coordinate care with sports medicine physicians and coaches and assist in the supervision and management of our athletic training room facility. The assistant athletic trainer reports directly to the Manager of Sports Medicine. This is a full time, 12 month position with benefits. Some holiday, evening and weekend work will be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience working as an athletic trainer in a multi-sport environment

  • Possess a valid, current NATA B.O.C. certification (in good standing)

  • Possess an Ohio Athletic Trainers license (or eligible to obtain)

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Valid driver's license, maintains a low risk driving record and is able to be insured by the University
