Assistant Track & Field Coach

Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary: $6,288.00/month

Commensurate with education, experience and qualifications. Coaching positions are not tenure track and do not guarantee future employment rights.

Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under direction of the Head Track and Field/Cross Country Coach, the incumbent will be responsible to recruit quality student-athletes (with an emphasis in jumps, throws, and sprints events) within the guidelines of the Code of Recruitment as required by the Head Coach; coach student-athletes in practice and competition; monitor the conditioning and training of the student-athletes; teach and develop sport specific skills and coaching strategies to enhance the athletic performance of student-athletes; assist in the success of team performance and eligibility criteria; organize and direct local, regional and/or national meets as required; conduct summer camps and track/field clinics; enforce written team rules and expectations including while traveling and on and off campus conduct; comply with NCAA, Conference and University rules and policies; assist in the monitoring and maintenance of academic progress and eligibility of team members, and in the coordination of team travel as needed; if applicable, prepare data and reports as necessary in support of NCAA, Conference and University rules compliance; assist in the promotion of fund raising activities; assist in Title IX and diversity outreach.
