Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the Director of Golf and Head Women's Golf Coach in the administration and management of the Golf programs in a manner that upholds the philosophy, mission, and objectives of the Florida State University Department of Athletics

Assist the Head Coaches with the hiring and supervision of staff, undergraduate/graduate assistants, and volunteers

Assist the Head Coaches with budgeting, scheduling, travel, recruiting, purchasing equipment, and providing direction to student-athletes.

Assist the Head Coaches with the hiring and supervision of staff, undergraduate/graduate assistants, and volunteers

Assist the Head Coaches with budgeting, scheduling, travel, recruiting, purchasing equipment, and providing direction to student-athletes.

Ensure that everyone involved in the program is in compliance with Athletics Department and University rules as well as all ACC and NCAA rules and regulations

Provide a climate and culture that brings together and promotes through education, for all individuals without regard to their background, race, origin, gender, religion, or physical or mental abilities.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and one year of coaching experience at the high school level or above. Successful experience as a graduate assistant or intern in an athletic program is acceptable for the year of required experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Employment with a professional golf organization such as, but not limited to, the PGA, AJGA, or LPGA; playing on any sanctioned professional golf tour; experience as a professional caddy for a minimum of one year; or successful experience as a graduate assistant or intern in an athletic program is acceptable for the year of required experience.

Skills in the application of coaching methods to motivate the Student-Athlete in sports, academic performance, and in life experiences.

Experience in coaching Golf.

Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
