Job Details

The Part-Time Assistant Coach plays a vital role in supporting the head coach in all aspects of team development and operations. Responsibilities include assisting with training sessions, event preparation, as well as scouting, recruiting, and player development. The coach will help foster a competitive and positive team culture while ensuring student-athletes meet academic and athletic expectations. Additional duties may involve video analysis, travel coordination, and compliance with NCAA and conference regulations. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Coaching & Student-Athlete Development – Assist in planning and leading training sessions, competition strategies, and individual player development.
  • Recruiting & Scouting – Identify, evaluate, and communicate with prospective student-athletes in compliance with NCAA regulations.
  • Competition & Practice Preparation – Support opponent scouting, video analysis, and team preparation for practices and competitions.
  • Administrative Support – Assist with travel logistics, equipment management, and ensuring compliance with NCAA and conference rules.
  • Student-Athlete Support & Team Culture – Promote academic success, leadership, and a positive team environment on and off the field.
