Position Description
The Department of Athletics at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Coaching Assistant (12-month) with an anticipated starting date of July 1, 2026.

Responsibilities
The Assistant Coach assists with the daily operations of the Women’s Soccer program in accordance with NCAA, CCAA Conference, and California State University, Dominguez Hills rules, regulations, and policies. Responsibilities include assisting with coaching instruction, player development, recruiting, practice and game preparation, and supporting the academic success and overall well-being of student-athletes.

The certification must translate the information in English, and confirm that your highest terminal degree is US Equivalent to a US terminal degree (i.e., Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate’s, Doctor’s of Philosophy). Athletics
Toro Athletics administers an intercollegiate athletic program sponsoring four (4) men’s teams and six (6) women’s teams. A member of NCAA Division II, CSUDH competes in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Other functions of the unit include public relations, sports information, athletic training, fund-raising, scheduling of campus athletics facilities, and recruitment and retention of student-athletes. The Athletics Department and University place a high priority on academic stands and the personal growth of student-athletes.

The full-time Assistant Coach (12-Month) classification salary range is $6,288 to $ 7,658 per month (12 monthly payments per academic year).The anticipated hiring salary range is $6,288 to $6,375 per month (12 monthly payments per academic year). The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and current CSUDH faculty salaries in the academic department/discipline. Faculty salaries are subject to budgetary authorization and any California State University System faculty contract increases.

Background Check
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
