Assistant Director, Football Creative Content
Athletics Administration - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26002696)
The Assistant Director, Football Creative Content reports to the Director, Football Creative Content, and serves as a creative producer within Pitt Football’s content team. This position contributes to the daily production of social, digital, and recruiting content, including graphic design, short-form video editing, and photography support. The role operates within an established creative team, bringing strong execution skills and a collaborative mindset to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This includes but is not limited to short-term and long-term Football production calendar planning, shooting, and editing of internal and external video requests, assisting with the maintenance of the post-production budget, and overseeing sports team video coverage as directed. This position requires travel for in-season and post-season videos, frequent camera operation, editing, and setup/teardown of equipment in Pitt Athletic facilities. Assists the sports and support areas of Pitt Athletics in a Power Four NCAA division l fast-paced, collegiate environment. Understanding how video production can enhance recruitment and support coaching philosophies for the sports programs and other support areas is essential.
Manages and serves as a primary contact for the production of athletic broadcasts. Serves as a lead broadcast producer, directs freelance staff, and creates or assists in production of live or pre-taped content. Oversees budgets and prepares related financial reports. Serves as liaison between internal and external stakeholders regarding logistics and coverage of events requiring video or audio. Maintains and operates equipment.

The Assistant Director is an active contributor to the team's content output, bringing strong execution skills, attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for collegiate athletics storytelling. This position assists with video coverage for games, practices, recruiting visits, and other program events, and supports the organization of the program's digital asset library in coordination with the broader creative team. The Assistant Director contributes to social media content production and helps monitor platforms for trend and real-time posting opportunities. This role is expected to be proactive in identifying content opportunities and responsive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Working collaboratively within the Football Creative Content unit, the Assistant Director participates in team project management workflows, communicates clearly about task status and timelines, and supports senior staff in fulfilling creative requests from coaches and football staff. This position provides an opportunity to develop a comprehensive skill set in collegiate sports content production and is expected to grow in creative responsibility as experience and proficiency increase.

Physical Effort
The position requires a great deal of physical effort. Position will be required to lift heavy production equipment, individual should be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. In addition, individual should be able to perform these tasks in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
