Assistant Director of Men's Basketball Operations
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time experience in administrative responsibilities in the sport of basketball (team scheduling, budget preparation & administration, facility usage, public relations, fundraising, community service, and other daily operations for the program) or as a college basketball player and/or coach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional years (3+) of full-time experience in administrative responsibilities in the sport of basketball (team scheduling, budget preparation & administration, facility usage, public relations, fundraising, community service, and other daily operations for the program) or as a college basketball player and/or coach. Previous experience with a Division I Athletic Program. Experience working with Financial Aid and/or Housing. Experience with supervision of student staff, interns, and/or graduate assistants. Understanding of NCAA Compliance Rules (played a Division I, II, or III sport, coached in collegiate athletics, or as a staff member in a collegiate athletic program).

The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing a variety of administrative tasks associated with the efficient operation of a Division I men’s basketball program. This position will report directly to the head men’s basketball coach and will be the primary liaison with various athletic department staff members. The assistant will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating team travel, scheduling of practices & facilities, official visits & recruiting records, fundraising initiatives, alumni events, ticket requests, housing, financial aid, video needs, operating budgets, equipment purchases & disbursement, camps & clinics, and academic success of student-athletes for each program. In addition, this position will require you to travel with each team throughout the season and train & supervise team managers. Other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.

Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $4,000 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
Evening and weekend work will be required at times.
