Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations and working closely with the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales & Service and the Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement, the Assistant Director of Ticket Sales & Fan Engagement will develop and implement ticket sales strategies and marketing outreach initiatives with a focus on revenue generation for Athletics. This position will be tasked with generating revenue through proactive, outbound ticket sales efforts that focus on group sales, new season memberships and renewals with a primary focus on the basketball programs. In addition, this position will also be the primary marketing and game entertainment contact for select Olympic sport(s) creating a strategic marketing plan and directing game entertainment elements for those sport(s). This position will also be responsible for managing campus and community outreach, student engagement efforts, external events, and assisting with box office operations.
Position Duties (In Order of Importance) - Approximate Percent of Time Applied Over a Year
SALES & REVENUE GENERATION 60%
· Proactively solicit ticket sales through a high volume of outbound customer contacts including phone calls, SMS/text message, emails, in person events and face-to-face meetings, and through other technologies and strategies.
· Sell a full menu of ticket options including season ticket memberships, mini plans, group ticket sales, special event sales, and premium and hospitality areas with a primary focus on men’s and women’s basketball.
· Research, analyze and prospect new sales leads by monitoring industry trends, and the Milwaukee market, and by using established marketing strategies.
· Assist in preparing, proofing, managing data, and sending of ticket sales emails through the department’s mass email platform.
· Provide elite customer service to all current and future ticket buyers throughout the sales process.
GAME ENTERTAINMENT & STUDENT MARKETING 25%
· Plan and execute game entertainment and promotions for select Olympic Sport(s).
· Strategically develop and implement comprehensive attendance-driving student marketing initiatives across sports.
· Assist with the game entertainment/promotions at games (i.e. fulfillment of group ticket sales experiences such as high-five tunnels, anthem buddies, etc.).
COMMUNITY MARKETING, ENGAGEMENT, OUTREACH & EVENTS 10%
· Strategic management and implementation of campus and community appearances at local events such as State Fair, Summerfest, and other festivals/events.
· Assist in implementing campus and community marketing programs and outreach efforts including but not limited to external events, reading program, “school day” games, Panther Tailgate, Homecoming, etc.
OTHER: 5%
· Supervise ticket and marketing student staff on game days at select events and assist when needed with the ticketing operations at basketball games.
· Assist with reporting functions, sales projections and goal-setting, box office operations, and database management.
· Other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations.

Develops, implements, and disseminates marketing materials through various communication mediums utilizing appropriate technologies and techniques
Develops, implements, and maintains strategic marketing plans based on research and established strategies
Collects, analyzes, prepares, summarizes, and disseminates data and trends relevant to ongoing or future marketing activities
Student Affairs - Athletics
Salary will be Commensurate with Experience.
Bachelor’s degree or higher, or combination of education and relevant work experience.
At least one (1) year of experience working in college athletics or a professional sport setting.
At least six (6) months of experience actively soliciting ticket sales through a high volume of outbound customer contacts such as phone calls, emails and other strategies.
Demonstrated excellence with verbal, written, and communication skills, as evidenced by application materials and interviews.
Experience with live event/in-venue production including in-game promotions, game scripting, in-game sponsorship activation, and fan engagement/entertainment elements for athletic/sporting events.
Experience organizing community engagement and outreach activities.
Knowledge of using ticket sales software such as Ticketmaster, Account Manager and/or Archtics.
Knowledge of using platforms used to design and send mass emails for ticket sales and promotions.
Experience interacting with gameday staff including, but not limited to, student workers, venue box office staff, and/or usher/ticket takers
