General Notes

Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Travel required. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours.

Purpose

Reporting to the Director of Player Personnel, assists with developing a vision and plan for the Texas Athletics’ football personnel department.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure effective coordinating and execution of all aspects of recruiting boards, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with key program staff and stakeholders.

• Participate in evaluating and identifying prospective student-athletes and transfers in collaboration with head football coach and coaching staff.

• Assist with organizing and managing Head Coach’s evaluation needs, as assigned.

• Responsible for distributing evaluation information amongst coaching staff.

• Manage and update internal recruiting information database (ARMS).

• Manage prospective student-athlete and transfer portal internal film library.

• Assist with organizing, strategic planning and execution of position coaches contact and evaluation period plan, ensuring effective and timely communication.

• Lead, supervise, hire, evaluate and develop recruiting interns.

• Serve as a liaison with the Athletics Academic Enrollment and Eligibility and Compliance departments for all needs and monitoring associated with recruitment of prospective student-athletes and transfers. Promote an atmosphere of compliance and ethics amongst recruiting and coaching staff.

• Assist Director of Recruiting and Director of Player Personnel with organization of all official and unofficial visits to campus by prospective student-athletes. Sets up prospect meetings with staff and guide recruits throughout their visit.

• Other duties as assigned. Drive a UT or rental vehicle on or off campus.

• Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics. Always act ethically. Proactively seek guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule or policy applicable to you or your department/sport program. Actively participate in assigned education and training programs. Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Big 12, or other governing body, including state and federal laws. Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Two years of experience in an NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics football programs in a coaching or administrative capacity. Professional demeanor and ability to project the image of the University of Texas and the Athletics Department with dignity and grace regardless of circumstances and environments. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enhance interaction with student-athletes, peers, alumni, administrative personnel, and the community. Demonstrated exceptional character traits in integrity and fairness. Demonstrated commitment to The University of Texas Intercollegiate Athletics Core Values: Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Community Engagement, Creativity, Accountability and Loyalty. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in football recruiting at the collegiate and/or NFL level. Experience with football scouting reports.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
