St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private, college preparatory High school for young men and women, is seeking a seasonal part-time Assistant Football Coach. Position is expected to coach sport within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; and Holistic Education. The Assistant Football Coach reports to the Athletic Director.
This is a seasonal part-time position for the football season.
This position is not benefits eligible.
Job Duties

| Description of Job Duties |
- Assist the Head FB Coach with instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of football;
- Assist the Head Coach in game planning for opponents;
- Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities and teach fundamentals necessary for the FB position coached;
- Assess players’ skills, monitor players during competition and practice, and keep the Head Coach informed of the athletic performance of athletes;
- Assist the Head Coach with supervising athletes during practices and competition;
- Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury;
- Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct and language towards players, officials, and spectators;
- Participate in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, awards night and pep rallies;
- Work with the head coach regarding eligibility, inventory, and other related paperwork;
- Attend staff meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance;
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Principal, Athletic Director, and Head Coach.

Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Extensive knowledge of FB positions;
- Knowledge of HUDL and film breakdown;
- Possess effective coaching techniques and skills;
- Thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of FB;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents and students;
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

| Required Education |
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
|
| Required Work Experience |
Two (2) years experience as a high school or middle school football coach. Experience as a collegiate football player will substitute for coaching experience on a year for year basis.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor Degree or higher;
- High school varsity playing experience;
- Experience serving as a strong role model for students;
- Knowledge of SACHS and 5 Core Values.

| Physical Demands |
- Ability to lift sports equipment weighing up to 50lbs waist high.
- Ability to effectively move about to appropriately demonstrate plays and drills in this sport during practice, as well as sideline coach during games.
- Ability to actively engage in games and events for extended periods of time.
- Ability to regularly move about campus and game and event venues to actively engage faculty, staff, parents and students.
