Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

The University of Evansville invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach – Men’s Basketball. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a competitive NCAA Division I basketball program within the Missouri Valley Conference.

Position Responsibilities:

The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the men’s basketball program, including but not limited to:

• Practice planning and on-court instruction
• Scouting opponents and developing game strategies
• Recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes
• Coordinating team travel and logistics
• Ensuring compliance with all NCAA, MVC, and University rules and regulations
• Building positive relationships with student-athletes, staff, faculty, alumni, and the public

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Collegiate basketball playing or coaching experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and NCAA rules
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or ability to obtain them
