Position Title:
Assistant Mens Basketball Coach
Job Description:
Reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach will assist the head coach in all facets of the men’s basketball program to ensure a quality program and successful Division I team. Assumes responsibility for at least two of the following basketball program operations: scouting, recruiting coordination, community relations, scheduling, academic supervision, summer camps. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively assist in coaching a competitive basketball program in a manner which promotes sportsmanship among athletes, ensuring compliance with all NCAA, MAAC, and institutional rules and regulations.
- Effectively assist in recruiting qualified student athletes to participate in the University’s athletic program and effectively promote Mount St. Mary’s University academic and athletic programs to potential students.
- Excels in a team environment and can execute roles and responsibilities designated by the Head Coach
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.
- Must be proficient in Synergy, Adobe, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Salary/Hours/Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate to experience.
- Full Time – Nights and weekends are required
