Position Summary:

The Assistant Volleyball coach will assist the head coach in the planning and operation of a NCAA Division II (volleyball championship subdivision) program. Assist with the practice and game preparation as assigned; evaluate performances, make recommendations to the head coach regarding individual participation in games.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to :

  • Coordinate activities through the Head Volleyball Coach.
  • Ability to effectively teach fundamentals, position details and strategies of volleyball during preparation and practice sessions.
  • Ability to motivate teams to become successful.
  • Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, the University community and the public.
  • Ability to travel and recruit student-athletes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to learn and comply with all policies and regulations of the University, and the NCAA.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to scout opponents
