Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration or a related field. Two (2) Years of NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaching Experience. Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.
Position Description:
The Assistant Coach for the University of Louisville Women’s Basketball program will assist the Head Coach in the overall coordination and execution of the University’s Division I intercollegiate Women’s Basketball program. Responsibilities include identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, coaching, and promoting an atmosphere of compliance within the program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop the skills of student-athletes and assist in preparing practice plans and implementing practice plans.
Promote a culture of compliance within the program by strictly adhering to NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations. This includes monitoring program activities, actively participating in compliance efforts, committing to continuous rules education, timely submission of compliance-related documents, and promptly reporting any knowledge of potential rule violations involving yourself or others.
Prepare detailed scouting reports on all opponents.
Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience playing the sport at the Division I collegiate and/or professional level.
Working knowledge of video and recruiting software such as Teamworks, FastModel Suite (FastScout, FastDraw, FastRecruit), Hudl SportsCode, Synergy, and Recruiting Communications.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
