Job Summary

Oversees strategy development and execution of Cleveland State University (

CSU

) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics activities in revenue generation including sponsorship sales, alumni engagement, and fundraising i.e., annual, major and sport-specific giving. Assists external team with other revenue generation, marketing and public relations activities. Serves as a member of the Athletics leadership team. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports management, business administration, or related field.

Three (3) years multi-unit experience in National Collegiate Athletic Association (

NCAA

) Division I athletics corporate partnership sales, media rights, marketing, and/or fundraising.

Ability to travel and work evening and weekend hours as required.

Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under the CSU’s Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree, preferably in sports management, business administration or related field.

Business relationships with the business community in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.

Successful revenue generation in fundraising and/or sponsorships.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge of

NCAA

and conference rules and legislation and committed to abiding by them.

Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.

Ability to efficiently multi-task and provide responsiveness within and outside of the organization.

Possess the ability to effectively plan and coordinate, establish and maintain effective working relationships and prioritize workloads based on available resources.

Possess the ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.

Effective written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities.

Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
