This position will hold a portfolio of 150-200 donors with the intent of raising $300,000+ on an annual basis with 8-12 asks of $100,000 or greater. The ADOD is responsible for providing full-spectrum support to development officers in the form of portfolio review, maintenance, and strategy; prospect identification and research, and solicitation strategy. Additionally, this role will incorporate front-line development work through qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of a portfolio of donors. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the day-to-day fulfillment of prospect research inquiries and requests in support of Georgetown University’s fund-raising initiatives.

  • Provide accurate, timely, and comprehensive analysis and information about prospective donors to the University, engaging in the identification and reporting of new prospective donors for placement in fundraiser portfolios and using weekly gift reports and other data pulled from GU360.

  • As the liaison for Athletic Development stewardship efforts, work with the Senior Director of Development (SDOD), Development Assistant, Engagement team, Athletic Administration, front-line fundraisers, coaches, and other internal constitutes to develop and implement holistic stewardship efforts including endowed fund reporting, gift acknowledgments, press releases, and communication with the Office of Advancement’s Stewardship and Principal gift teams.

  • Provide general administrative support for self and all other major gift officers on the team, including budgets, staff solicitation visits, weekly gift reports, and donor information, entering contact reports and prospect strategies in donor profiles.

  • Manage the gift process: entering and tracking asks, proposals, Gift Agreements/Statement of Intents, gift transmittal forms, and coordination with the Office of Gift Administration to confirm successful allocation of gifts.
