Work Schedule :

Normal University of Maine business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm, with work outside of normal hours expected to meet the needs of this position.

Statement of the Job :

The Associate Director of Sports Performance will oversee the physical and mental development of assigned sports programs while assisting with various administrative duties and oversight of the Sports Performance Department’s yearly budget. Typical hiring range for this position is $48,000 to $49,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications :

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCa)
• Three or more years coaching at the collegiate level
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Must possess a current CPR certification at time of hire or must attain one within 1 month of the date of hire.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to lift to fifty pounds.
• Working knowledge of the repair and maintenance of athletic strength and training equipment
• Successful supervisory experience
• Ability to demonstrate and communicate proper spotting and lifting techniques.
• Able to travel, normally required a valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in related field
• Working knowledge of budget and business practices
