Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $11,668.00 to $13,378.00 per month

Commensurate with education, experience and qualifications. Coaching positions are not tenure track and do not guarantee future employment rights. This is a full-time, exempt, 12-month appointment.

Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Reporting to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the incumbent will assist with the successful administration of a highly visible NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball program. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: coaching student-athletes; recruiting; game management; scouting; academic monitoring; practice organization; summer camps; compliance; travel; in addition to other administrative duties as assigned.

• Have strong communication and motivation skills.
• Computer and video analysis and breakdown knowledge.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and policies.
• Coaching philosophy and teaching concepts must be compatible with those of the Head Coach.
• Ability to work cooperatively with coaches, staff, faculty, students, and members of the community.
• Direct and manage a sports program, manage and administer a budget, analyze personnel needs; establish and attain program priorities and initiatives; develop and implement program goals; and develop recruitment strategy.
• Ability and willingness to support the diversity and equity commitments of the department.
• Commitment to academic integrity and compliance with University, conference and NCAA regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and project a professional attitude.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education or by an equivalent international institution of higher education.
• Played Division 1 collegiate basketball or minimum of five (5) years of experience coaching or managing at any level.
