Reporting directly to the Head Golf Professional, this position supports daily golf operations with a primary focus on tournament administration, hospitality programming, event execution, and member experience initiatives. This role serves as a key member of the golf operations team and provides operational support for member events, university functions, corporate outings, championship competitions, and player development programs. The Assistant Golf Professional / Tournament & Hospitality Manager ensures exceptional event execution and hospitality standards while supporting Stanford members, guests, student-athletes, university partners, and visitors. This position also contributes to operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and facility transition efforts.

Core Duties :
Assist in administering and evaluating day-to-day activities of the operation and/or golf program. Assist in operational sport-related tasks and ensure high-quality customer service is delivered to Golfing sports and/or recreation participants and coaches.
Using relevant knowledge, support the golf operation and/or golf program with equipment, facilities, or logistical efforts and special requests, as needed.
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including inventory tracking and budgeting. Resolve basic accounting or inventory discrepancies via standardized procedures and practices.
Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting market, equipment and trend data.
Provide input process, policy, or procedure improvements.
May coach / advise more junior athletic staff, student employees and contingent staff.
Document the routine maintenance or reviews of equipment and physical structure and maintain the records of all warranties and services for the facility.
May operate retail and inventory technologies daily.
May serve as field instructor for multi-day programs and courses.
Collect, disseminate and organize enrollment materials, accident reports, assumption of risk forms, and any other required record keeping necessary.
Follows appropriate safety/risk management procedures.
Knowledge of NCAA regulations.
Minimum Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relative experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Strong ability to collaborate and balance competing needs and priorities.
A strong attention to detail and work ethic.
Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills.
Direct experience with competitive golf and experience managing all aspects of golf tournaments.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Must possess strong computer skills.
Experienced in tournament operations.
Experienced in golf shop merchandising.
Must be able to safely and properly operate a golf cart.
Certificates and Licenses Required
Must be registered in the PGA PGM.
