The Athletic Trainer will coordinate and provide health care and comprehensive athletic training services to student-athletes; maintain records and supplies; and ensure fiscal responsibility as it relates to student-athlete care. The Athletic Trainer will also coordinate care with sports medicine physicians in the integration of evidence-based rehabilitation strategies in order to ensure the student-athletes are able to effectively and safely return to full fitness/participation; and work collaboratively within a sports performance model with other professionals, including: Sr. Associate AD for Sports Medicine and Performance, Director of Athletic Training, Sports Dietitian, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, and Clinical Psychologist, to ensure positive student-athlete experience and treatment outcomes, and to mitigate the risk of sustaining injury.
The Athletic Trainer will conduct and supervise injury and illness prevention, injury management, immediate care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, and provide ongoing patient supervision to ensure compliance with treatment plans, expectations, and standing operating procedures under the medical supervision of the Team Physician, as required by the Maryland State Practice Act. This position will report to the Director of Athletic Training and must be able to work in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged. The incumbent will manage administrative duties as assigned by the Sr. Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine and Performance and/or Director of Athletic Training. This individual may also serve as a preceptor to mentoring athletic training students in the Athletic Training Education Program and will take on various other duties at the discretion of the Director of Athletic Training and Sr. Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine and Performance.

Salary and Benefits
Target hiring range is $56,000 - $62,500 annually and full University benefits that include 22 days of annual leave, up to 15 holidays, personal and sick days; excellent health, life, and retirement plans; and tuition remission.
