Repetitive motion. Job-related travel. Standing or walking with objects up to 10lbs. Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs.
This role requires a flexible schedule based on athletic event demands. Work hours will include weekdays, evenings, and weekends depending on practice schedules, games, and special events. Some travel to away games and tournaments will be required.
UK HealthCare Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Athletic Trainer assigned to Georgetown College.
As an Athletic Trainer assigned to Georgetown College , your primary focus will be the daily medical coverage, injury prevention, assessment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play planning for athletes within the college’s athletics system. You’ll act as a liaison between players, coaches, and healthcare professionals to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of athletes.
This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Additional duties include:
• Managing medical documentation and injury tracking.
• Coordinating with UK HealthCare’s physicians and rehabilitation specialists for athlete referrals.
• Assisting with emergency planning and response protocols at training and match facilities.
• Promoting education and awareness regarding injury prevention and performance optimization.
• Supporting event coverage and medical operations for events and teams as needed.
We are looking for a candidate who excels in communication, adaptability, and relationship-building, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and evolving sports environment.

• Proficient in EMR documentation and basic administrative tasks.
• Commitment to continuing education and evidence-based clinical practice.
No
• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training required; Master’s degree preferred.
• National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC) – Required
• Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure (KBML) – Licensure or eligibility at time of hire
• Experience working with collegiate athletes.
• Prior outreach/field-based AT experience preferred.
