Title: Athletics Facilities and Operations Manager

To assist the Director of Athletics in all facets of a successful/winning athletics program within the framework of the mission of the university and the intercollegiate athletic department, including various special projects, and to oversee the Event Management tasks at home games, including the hiring, training, and assignment of student workers used to run these events. Manages the Athletics Department's scheduling calendar and coordinates facility reservations, practice and game schedules, and maintenance by appropriate staff. Provides two-way communications between Coaches and Saint Louis Athletic Staff. Responsible for staffing and operation of the Carlson Fitness Center and reporting progress and needs to the athletics director. Full-time athletic personnel must attend monthly All-Department meetings, weekly athletics staff meetings as scheduled, and other special college meetings as announced.
Applicants will be required to become familiar with and adhere to Chaminade University policies, NCAA rules on institutional control and compliance, and the philosophies of the Pacific West Conference and NCAA Division II. The person must be committed to a philosophy that emphasizes the pursuit of excellence in both academics and athletics. Ability to be available for evening, weekend, holiday games, and events.
Direct Report to the Director of Athletics
Essential Functions:
Special Projects (30% of work time)
Assists the athletics director on special research tasks and projects, including fundraising events.
Organizes and helps coordinate local transportation for teams and coaches to games, practices, and the airport for travel.
Event Management (35% of work time)
Execute all aspects of game day management, including hiring and supervising student workers, communicating with visiting teams and officials before and on game day, and addressing crowd control issues. Ensure compliance with all NCAA, Conference, and College rules. Interviews, hires, trains, schedules, produces payroll, and manages work-study student staff.
Plans, organizes, and supervises events staff at games, including admissions, security, film crew, and public address announcers.
Live Stream. Responsible for coordinating with the Chaminade Athletics Sports Information Director (SID) to schedule live stream events. Ensure the broadcast production equipment is operational and ready for each scheduled home contest. Ensure the staff are assigned, ready, and capable of operating necessary equipment, including but not limited to cameras, microphones, and necessary internet connections
Oversees the equipment setup and storage with student workers before and after all home athletic events.
Responsible for storing equipment and facilitating spaces for such storage for Teams. Manages inventory and maintenance of equipment utilized for events.
Carlson Fitness Center (15% of work time)
Interviews, hires, trains, schedules, produces payroll, and manages work-study student staff.
Reports and recommends equipment needs, repairs, and servicing to the athletics director.
Facility (15% of work time)
Implement and enforce departmental policies regarding hours of operation and individual access. Interact in a timely and professional manner with all constituents requesting the use of the athletic facilities. Reserving facilities on CUH and times with Saint Louis facilities
Maintenance of facilities, repairs, and reports them to the athletics director
Communicator between CUH athletics and Saint Louis athletics regarding facility changes
Other Duties (5% of the time): Perform other duties as assigned. Such assignments will be made by and discussed with the Director of Athletics.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum Experience
One year of administrative management experience in intercollegiate sports programs. Interscholastic and community recreation management experience may be taken into consideration.
Experience and Skills
Technical Skills:
Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and require a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
