The Staff Counselor - Athletics Mental Health Specialist provides specialized counseling services to Davidson College student-athletes. This role involves delivering counseling and crisis services, conducting relevant training, and offering consultation and educational outreach to student-athletes, coaches, and athletics department staff. The counselor will collaborate with various stakeholders, including parents, physicians, faculty, deans, and on/off-campus counseling services, to ensure comprehensive care and support for student-athletes personal, academic, and athletic success. The counselor will also be instrumental in developing and implementing counseling service policies and procedures tailored to the needs of scholar-athletes.
