Corporate Sponsorships Assistant

Virginia Military Institute, an NCAA Division I and Southern Conference member, is seeking candidates for a Corporate Sponsorships Assistant. The selected candidate will report to the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Assist in managing sales operations, client fulfillment, sales proposals, client interaction, as well as plan sponsor events throughout the year.
• Develop sponsorship sales ideas to pitch to potential prospects.
• Research and identify potential categories and specific companies who would be a good addition to your universities existing sponsors.
• Assist with developing standard and customized proposals and contracts for potential clients.
• Develop and maintain client interaction and relationships with potential and current sponsors.
• Capture screenshots, images, and documentation of sponsor activation to build annual proof of performance reports.
• Create marketing packages with innovative ideas surrounding potential clients.

Additional Considerations:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program.
• Must have a passion for sales.
• Demonstrate an enthusiastic and outgoing personality.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
• Detail oriented, strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Willing to learn and grow as a sales professional.
