| Job Summary/Basic Function |
About This Role:
The Director, Athletic Compliance reports directly to the Vice President, Director of Athletics and serves as the chief compliance officer for the athletics department. The successful candidate will lead the department’s compliance efforts on campus and work with Fortify in areas including education, monitoring, and enforcement, and will serve as a key advisor to the athletic director, senior staff, and coaching staff on compliance matters. This position will ensure compliance operations are conducted in accordance with NCAA, Conference, Lamar University and Texas State University System (TSUS) rules and regulations.

Education, Interpretation, and Interdepartmental Collaboration
Monitoring, Reporting, and Technology Management

Physical Requirements: This position required sitting and standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 25 pounds while performing du ties as described within the essential functions.
Job Conditions: Duties are typically performed within athletics facilities and other buildings or outdoors. May require occasional travel and evening/weekend hours based on athletic event schedules.

- Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in NCAA compliance, athletics administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I rules, policies, and governance.
