DIRECTOR / EVENTS OPERATIONS
Performs a variety of tasks and functions to assist with carrying out day-to-day and game management operations for all athletic programs with specific responsibility for the Olympic sports programs.
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in facilities operations.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Master’s degree.
Sports Management degree or coursework.
NCAA
intercollegiate athletics facility and event management experience, preferably at the Division 1 level.
Promotes the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, to include adhering to all departmental policies and procedures.
Maintains current knowledge of
MAC
and
NCAA
rules and regulations related to game management.
Reports any potential
MAC
and
NCAA
rule violations to the Assistant AD of Facilities and Event Operations.
Directs the management and planning of all assigned home athletic contests for varsity sports and events.
Serves as Tournament Manager for all assigned
MAC
and
NCAA
tournaments.
Coordinates all practice and game day management aspects associated with all assigned intercollegiate athletic events.
Develops visiting team guides for all assigned sports.
Provides feedback for updates on operations manual and facility guides.
Assists in the execution of all athletic department customer service initiatives related to events.
Participates in the development and execution of all athletic department emergency policies and procedures, in collaboration with university committees.
Ensures emergency action plans are followed working directly with police, uniform security, and sports medicine for events.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
