Position Summary
The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking a Director of Coaches’ Video Operations to support its NCAA Division I Football program in the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
Reporting to the Football Chief of Staff, this is responsible for the strategic management, analysis, and delivery of football video operations to support coaching, player development, and game preparation. The role oversees all aspects of practice and game film, including capture, breakdown, distribution, and advanced analytics, ensuring coaches and staff have timely, accurate, and actionable video insights.

The role oversees all aspects of practice and game film, including capture, breakdown, distribution, and advanced analytics, ensuring coaches and staff have timely, accurate, and actionable video insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Operations Management and Leadership (30%)
• Oversee the comprehensive video operations workflow, including filming of practices, games, and opponent footage using industry-standard systems.
• Manage and supervise video staff, student assistants, and interns to ensure efficient capture, editing, and distribution of all football video assets.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness in all video deliverables to coaching staff.
2. Film Breakdown and Analytical Support (25%)
• Direct the breakdown, tagging, and coding of game and practice film to support opponent scouting, self-scouting, and player evaluation.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to develop and maintain analytical frameworks, cut-ups, and reports that inform game planning and in-game adjustments.
• Utilize video analysis software to generate actionable insights on tendencies, formations, and performance metrics.
3. Practice and Game Day Video Coordination (15%)
• Coordinate all video operations during practices and games, including camera setup, live feeds, and real-time data exchange with coaching staff.
• Ensure seamless integration of sideline and coaching booth video systems to support in-game decision-making.
4. Opponent Scouting and Data Management (15%)
• Manage acquisition, organization, and distribution of opponent film in compliance with NCAA and conference regulations.
• Maintain structured video databases and archives for efficient retrieval and longitudinal analysis.
5. Technology Systems and Innovation (10%)
• Administer and optimize video technology platforms to enhance workflow efficiency and analytical capabilities.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that improve video analysis, data visualization, and coaching accessibility.
6. Operational Coordination and Support (5%)
• Support day-to-day operations of the department in alignment with NCAA, SEC, and University of Missouri policies.
• Collaborate with coaching, compliance, and recruiting staff to ensure program objectives are met.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required.
A Bachelor's degree in a related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired. Experience in the following of adhering to NCAA rules and regulations is also necessary.
Prior Football Video experience is preferred.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
