Job Summary

• Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Services Office.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of revenue share program, ensuring strict compliance with Fresno State policies, California State Law, NCAA rules and any other applicable regulations.
• Serve as the contact for revenue sharing and NIL related platforms (e.g. LBi, NIL GO) to manage documentation, education, and reporting.
• Collaborate with campus partners, department staff and other stakeholders
• Develop and implement a rules education program surrounding revenue sharing and NIL
• Oversee facets of NCAA and Conference rules
• Provide NCAA Rules Interpretations.
• Process violations, waivers, and Student-Athlete Reinstatements
• Assist in the oversight in the areas of Personnel, Amateurism, Recruiting, Eligibility, Financial Aid, Awards & Benefits, Playing & Practice Seasons, & Membership
• Perform day-to-day responsibilities monitoring, NCAA Bylaw 11 (Personnel), NCAA Bylaw 12 (Amateurism), Bylaw 14 (Academic Eligibility), & other Bylaws as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletics Director of Compliance

Key Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NCAA Bylaws
• Experience drafting NCAA violations and waivers
• Working knowledge of NCAA applications
• Experience conducting rules education presentations

• Ability to:

  • Analyze and research NCAA bylaws
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Exercise professional independent judgment and discretion
  • Work cooperatively with coaches, staff, faculty, students and members of the community
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately manage sensitive information

• Ability and willingness to support the diversity and equity commitments of the department

• Commitment to academic integrity and compliance with University, conference and NCAA regulations

Education and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in an NCAA Compliance office, starting at the Graduate Assistant level
• Experience working at Division I FBS level
• Previous experience using NCAA Compliance Systems
• Experience with contracts, licensing agreements and intellectual property rights
