The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position requires a fully on-site work arrangement and may be eligible for a compressed workweek or a flex workday schedule. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or discontinuation, and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Graduate Assistant Equipment Manager experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or 2 years full time equipment manager experience.

| Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
|
| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, follow up, and follow through.
- Detail oriented and possess excellent oral and written communicational skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the Big Ten Football Conference and NCAA rules and regulations, particularly in regards to recruiting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, Access & Internet Explorer.

- Certified Athletic Equipment Manager through the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) or completion of Certification within 1 year of employment.
