Summary of Job Duties: Under the supervision of the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Director of Women's Basketball On-Court Development is responsible for enhancing the skill development, performance, and overall growth of student-athletes within the women's basketball program. This role focuses on individualized player development, on-court training, game film analysis, player scouting, and mentorship while fostering a positive and competitive team culture. The position collaborates closely with the coaching staff to optimize player progression and team success.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

• Previous experience in player development, coaching, scouting, or basketball operations at the collegiate, professional, or high-level amateur level

• At least three years of experience in film breakdown

• At least four years of experience with basketball, game strategy, and player development principles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

• Experience working with international recruiting

• At least five years experience with on-court development, team and individual training

• At least five years experience with sports specific movements involving return-to-play

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of NCAA and SEC policies and regulations

• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, game strategy, and player development principles

• Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate athletes

• Ability to communicate effectively with players, coaches, and support staff

• Ability to work with student athletes of diverse backgrounds

• Ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
