The Director, Ticket Sales Marketing serves as a key member of the Athletics integrated marketing team, leading data‑driven digital marketing strategy to generate ticket sales revenue across Villanova Athletics ticketed products. This role owns the strategy, execution, and optimization of digital, email, and social marketing campaigns, using customer insights, CRM data, and performance analytics to inform decision‑making and improve conversion, revenue, and return on investment.
The position is responsible for translating consumer buying behavior and campaign performance data into actionable insights that shape marketing strategy, audience targeting, and personalized, 1‑to‑1 fan communications. Working in close partnership with Ticket Sales, Ticket Operations, Marketing, Corporate Sales, and other University stakeholders, this role ensures a coordinated, insight‑driven approach to ticket sales marketing that aligns with Villanova Athletics branding and promotional priorities.
This role supervises a Graphics Coordinator, manages advertising budgets, and applies analytics‑informed testing and optimization to continuously improve marketing effectiveness
All duties must be performed in accordance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.

Formal Education
· Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, business, sports management, or a related field.
Work Experience
· A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in digital marketing, sales marketing, or marketing communications.
· Demonstrated experience developing and executing revenue‑driven marketing campaigns , preferably in a ticketed, consumer‑facing, or B2C environment.
· Experience using analytics and performance data to optimize campaigns and improve conversion and return on investment.
Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills)
· Ability to use data, analytics, and performance insights to inform marketing strategy, decision‑making, and optimization.
· Strong project management skills, with a professional, detail‑oriented, and highly organized approach to managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, campus partners, and cross‑functional teams.
· Ability to develop and deliver an integrated digital media strategy across multiple platforms.
· Creative aptitude, including strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
· Ability to manage advertising budgets and evaluate effectiveness and return on investment.
Specific Job Knowledge (e.g., knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area)
· Knowledge of advertising media principles, strategies, techniques, and analytics, including digital, social media, and email marketing.
· Understanding of audience development, personalization, and content distribution across stages of the buying cycle.
· Understanding of conversion metrics, growth optimization, and campaign performance measurement.
· Familiarity with NCAA, conference, and University policies as they relate to Athletics marketing activities.
· Working knowledge of analytics and marketing platforms such as Google Analytics.
· Proficiency with standard business software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Paciolan) and digital content platforms (Sidearm preferred); experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
· Proficiency in CRM systems.
Work Experience
· Experience using the University’s current marketing, CRM, and ticketing systems is preferred (e.g., Salesforce CRM, Paciolan, and Sidearm).

This position falls within salaried grade 16 and the range is $71,700-89,600. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate’s qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
