Organization's Summary Statement: The Executive Assistant to the Director of Athletics (AD) provides executive-level administrative and strategic support, serving as the exclusive manager of the AD’s complex daily and long-range schedule. This position meticulously manages all AD appointments and briefings, processes travel requests and expense statements, and oversees office supply management in close collaboration with the business office. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary front-line intermediary for the AD, expertly interacting with a diverse range of high-level internal and external stakeholders, including university officials, faculty, staff, students, student-athletes, alumni, boosters, and the general public. This role demands exceptional judgment and discretion in handling highly confidential or sensitive matters. It requires the ability to initiate, coordinate, and implement administrative functions that support the AD's policies and programs, including project coordination and report preparation. The Executive Assistant also performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: The work is performed in an office setting, requiring proficiency in using standard office equipment and keyboards. You need to be capable of lifting and transporting small parcels, packages, and other items, covering short walks, and operating a vehicle to transport and retrieve materials.
Licenses/Certifications: NA.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of professional secretarial, clerical, or administrative experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of individuals.
Preferences: Prior experience in an athletic department or high-demand office environment.
