Football Assistant Analyst
The Football Assistant Analyst plays a key role in supporting the football program by providing data-driven insights, game analysis, and operational assistance. This position focuses on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support coaching strategies, game planning, and player development. Assist in analyzing game footage to provide strategic insights on opponent tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses.

The Football Assistant Analyst plays a key role in supporting the football program by providing data-driven insights, game analysis, and operational assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of football concepts, analytics, and technology, as well as a commitment to contributing to the success of the program.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Game and Opponent Analysis
Assist in analyzing game footage to provide strategic insights on opponent tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses.
Compile scouting reports and data visualizations to support game planning and strategy development.
Track and analyze in-game statistics and provide real-time insights during practices and competitions.
Data Collection and Analytics
Collect and organize data on team and player performance, including advanced metrics and statistical trends.
Utilize data visualization tools to present findings in a clear and actionable format for the coaching staff.
Assist in maintaining and updating databases of player and opponent performance metrics.
Technology and Video Support
Operate and maintain software and tools used for game analysis, including video editing and analytics platforms.
Assist with filming, editing, and breaking down practice and game footage for team and individual review.
Collaborate with the video and creative staff to create high-quality materials for internal use.
Administrative and Operational Support
Assist with preparation and distribution of scouting materials, playbooks, and game plans.
Support coaching staff with research, presentations, and logistical tasks as needed.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., strength and conditioning, recruiting, and player development) to ensure alignment of team goals.
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
NCAA
Regulations: Understanding of
NCAA
rules and compliance requirements.
Football Operations: Familiarity with the logistics and management of a football program.
Budget Management: Knowledge of financial planning and budget management.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules efficiently.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with coaches, players, and other stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address and resolve issues that arise in a dynamic environment.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring all aspects of operations are handled meticulously.
Leadership: Leading and coordinating efforts among staff and players.
Adaptability: Adjusting to changing circumstances and needs of the program.
Equivalent Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong understanding of football strategy, terminology, and analytics.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Hudl, DV Sport) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Python, or R).
Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Prior experience in football analytics, coaching, or operations at the collegiate or professional level.
Advanced understanding of statistical modeling and sports performance metrics.
Familiarity with

compliance rules and regulations.
