Summary

The University of Michigan Football Program is currently seeking applicants for a Football Nutrition Operations Coordinator. Under the director of the Director of Performance Nutrition, the Director of Football Operations, and the Head Football Coach, this position will assist in all operational phases of the University of Michigan Football Program with emphasis on the logistics of team fueling, team travel, and general team operations to help meet the needs of our student-athletes and promote their health & welfare.

Responsibilities*

This position will report directly to the Director of Football Performance Nutrition and help facilitate general operations of the football program.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain confidentiality in all dealings with student-athletes, coaches and staff regarding student-athletes development and progress as well as all aspects of the football program.
• Adhere to all department and university policies and procedures, as well as rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and NCAA.
• Assist and collaborate with Director of Football Performance Nutrition to provide nutrition services to the football program.
• Work cooperatively with the Michigan football staff and athletic department for the development and welfare of the student-athletes involved with the football program.
• Assist the Director of Football Performance Nutrition in receiving shipments, assessing and maintaining nutrition inventory and budget.
• Coordinate team meals in conjunction with team activities and operations.
• Assist the Michigan Football Recruiting staff with events including official and unofficial visit, as well as all other recruiting events as assigned.
• Work with Event and Game Management for team events and activities related to football program.
• Assist in management and integration of Teamworks as a way of creating ideal communication to players and staff regarding responsibilities, scheduling, and other necessary information.
• Participate in the planning and execution of the football calendar - preseason camp, in-season, bowl game and off-season workouts/spring practice.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach, Director of Performance Nutrition, and Director of Football Operations.
  

Required Qualifications*

• Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA Division I Rules and Regulations as well as Big Ten bylaws.
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 Years' experience working within football
• Experience working within a nutrition department
• Ability to work a non-standard work week; including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• CPR/AED Certification
  

Desired Qualifications*

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all members of the Performance Nutrition staff, Operations Staff, Recruiting Staff, and other athletic department personnel.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
