Summary:   Queens University of Charlotte’s Athletics is an NCAA Division I program distinguished by its commitment to transforming the lives of its students and consistently competing at the highest possible levels. The Royals joined the ASUN Conference on July 1, 2022.

 This is a 12-month renewable internship that reports directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Broadcasting. The GA position begins on July 7, 2025. The successful candidate must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Queens University of Charlotte. There is no expressed or implied commitment to a paid position upon completion of the internship. This role is eligible for tuition remission for up to six credit hours per semester and a stipend. No housing is offered.

 ** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

This is a great opportunity to learn about sports production and broadcasting from the inside-out. The graduate assistant for digital media/broadcasting will learn how to assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Broadcasting with day-to-day operations of the Queens Sports Network. The selected individual will be provided instruction and directions and perform duties under close observation. 

 All live and pre-produced content will air on the ESPN+, Queens Sports Network, and YouTube.

 ** Areas Learning and Application:**

  • Learn and practice assistance in production of digital web content (This includes conducting and editing frequent interviews with student-athletes and coaches, building broadcast graphics, creating postgame highlight packages and other feature content)
  • Learn and practice how to produce, direct, and run graphics for live broadcasts
  • Learn and practice how to operate cameras and other broadcast equipment during live broadcasts
  • Learn and practice promoting athletic teams and student-athletes via social media
  • Learn and practice organizing interviews for coaches, staff and student-athletes with local, regional, and national media.
