University Communications and Marketing is seeking Graduate Assistants to support Athletic Communications.
One GA will serve as Assistant to the Director of athletic communications, supporting publicity and promotion of Millersville’s 19 intercollegiate varsity sports.
One GA will be responsible for Creative Media, this GA will manage, plan posts and create content for Millersville Athletics social media platforms.
One GA will oversee all Broadcasting efforts of the department. They will manage a student staff at all home events. The graduate assistant will schedule, set-up and promote all live streams through the PSAC Network.

| Required Qualifications |
All graduate assistants must be enrolled in a Millersville University graduate program; non-degree students and those only seeking post-baccalaureate certification are not eligible.
Full-time Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of 6 credits in Fall semester and in Spring semester.
Must be enrolled in Sports Management graduate program.
Must be available to work home athletic events on campus, attend occasional practices, and meet with coaches and student-athletes on a regular basis.
Effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
Experience with Production Truck software and experience as a talent is required for the Broadcast position.

- degree in journalism, communications, public relations or a related field
- prior experience in athletic communications
- experience managing social media
- Knowledge of Production Truck, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, NCAA LiveStats statistical software and video editing and photography skills are strongly preferred for the position supporting the Director.

| Job Duties |
The GA supporting the Director will serve as the primary media contact for selected sports, writing and editing of news releases for placement in local and regional media, assisting in the maintenance of the athletics website, weekly conference reporting and nominations, coverage of home athletic events, use of statistics software, assisting with live video broadcast production, video editing and graphic design of social media graphics. The candidate must be able to assist in maintaining the department’s social media efforts.
The Creative Media graduate assistant will serve as the department’s primary graphic designer, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and Gipper software. The graduate assistant will gather video content, produce feature videos on student-athletes, and provide assistance to the 19 Millersville teams for their team-specific social media accounts.
The Broadcast GA will set-up and promote all live streams through the PSAC Network. The graduate assistant will train student workers in camera operation and production while serving as a play-by-play or color talent for all home events. Postgame highlight reels and on-camera interviews will be created to distribute to the media.
