About the Job

Men’s Basketball Graduate Assistants are an extension of the coaching staff and are expected to represent the University in a proper manner.On a day-to-day basis, they are expected to be in the office every morning starting at 8:00am until the day is over around 5:00pm, and they are responsible and in charge of overseeing undergraduate student managers.In addition to these responsibilities, they have a vital role in the success of our student athletes and program as a whole.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Student-athlete class checks.
  • Administrative tasks: recruit mailouts, managing coaching staff schedules, up keeping of recruit database, among other areas.
  • Player development during individual workouts, as well as team practices.
  • Distribution of equipment such as: player/coaching staff gear, practice gear, and practice equipment.
  • Setup and breakdown of individual development workouts and team practices
  • Laundry.
  • Breakdown of practice and game film using Sportstech software.
  • Assist with recruiting visits- Official and unofficial visits.
  • Planning of team meals and functions.
  • Provide transportation for coaches and players when necessary.
