Job Description:

Position: Graduate Assistant- Women’s Basketball Operations

Compensation: $12,000 annual stipend plus 18 credits per academic year

Reports to: Director of Women’s Basketball Operations

General position summary : Serving as a key member of the women’s basketball program at Fairfield University, the graduate assistant for operations will support a variety of administrative and basketball centric functions.

The position is renewable for a second year by mutual agreement.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist the women’s basketball coaching staff with film review and data analysis

• Manage the organization, marketing and coordination of summer camps and clinics

• Serve as a coach on the floor during practice and training sessions

• Serve as a coach on the floor during practice and training sessions

• Assist the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations with administrative functions including the coordination of team travel, expense reports and budget management

• Assist with the coordination of on-campus recruiting visits with various campus partners

• Assist with social media content creation and distribution

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into a Fairfield University graduate program. Strong written and oral communication skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once

Preferred Qualifications:

Former playing experience as a basketball student-athlete at the collegiate level Proficient in any of the following: Photoshop/Adobe Suite, iMovie, Synergy, and SportsCode
