1. Implement a student-athlete recruiting program that is consistent with institutional values, conference, and ACHAWD2 rules.

1. Responsible for working with University Admissions team on academic and other non-athletics aid packages to maximize the recruitment of prospective new students.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implement a student-athlete recruiting program that is consistent with institutional values, conference, and ACHAWD2 rules.

1. Responsible for working with University Admissions team on academic and other non-athletics aid packages to maximize the recruitment of prospective new students.

1. Responsible for the development of players, team selection for game participation, and travel.

1. Along with Sports Performance Staff, develop and manage agility, mobility, strength and conditioning programs appropriate for an ACHAWD2 program.

1. Responsible for notifying the Director of Athletics and Norris Center Manager in a timely fashion of practice schedule so that the administration of the facility can run in an orderly fashion.

1. Responsible for recommending to the Director of Athletics a schedule that meets the institutional philosophy and that will be approved by the Faculty Athletics Representative or her/his designee.

1. Responsible for travel arrangements and lodging for the teams, in conjunction with the Director of Athletics.

1. Responsible for ensuring that academic scheduling is done through on-campus advisors and Athletics Compliance Director to meet the academic needs of the student–athletes and that the student-athlete scheduling meets eligibility and progress toward degree requirements.

1. Responsible for requesting housing for players through the Director of Athletics and Housing Director to ensure quality living conditions for the student-athletes. 

1. Responsible for directing the assistant coach(es); including recommending to the Director of Athletics the hiring, firing, and performance evaluations of assistant coaches, and scheduling the travel of the assistant coach(es), in consultation with the supervisor of activity classes where there may be such responsibilities.

1. Responsible for presenting an ACHAWD2 budget and working within the framework of that budget as approved by the Director of Athletics. Major areas of budgetary control include equipment purchases, travel, recruiting, consultation, guarantees, team costs during break periods, and rentals. Other areas include, but are not limited to, student equipment fees, awards, subscriptions, advertisements, and miscellaneous items.

1. Responsible for the promotion of their program and the athletic department.

1. Assist in the coordination and execution of home game operations including officials, visiting team needs, official scorers, game admissions and security.

1. The Head Coach is expected to follow and comply with all rules and regulations of the department and the institution.

1. The Head Coach will be given an opportunity to administer youth sport camps and clinics. Acceptance of such includes the organization and implementation of such events.

1. Promote a program environment of inclusion.

1. Any activity in areas outside of the above named will require consultation and approval by the Director of Athletics. Examples include fund raising, hiring or staff capital campaign projects.

1. May drive LSSU vehicles to assure the team arrives safely to scheduled activities.

1. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics to promote, advance and ensure the effective and efficient operation of LSSU.
