Anderson University’s Athletic Department invites applications for a full-time position as Head Coach, Men’s Golf. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive Christian liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The university seeks candidates with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning.
The Head Coach is responsible, in coordination and in support of the Director of Golf, for the development and maintenance of an effective and competitive NCAA Division II Men’s Golf program. This position will assist with administration, recruitment and retention of all student athletes by developing a supportive Christian faith culture within the program while adhering to all NCAA rules and regulations. Additional responsibilities include planning a detailed daily practice schedule; arranging home matches with local golf clubs and ensuring adherence to club rules by all athletes; participating in fundraising activities; and planning and organizing camp/clinic programs to promote golf in the Anderson community.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a bachelor’s degree in addition to prior work experience in collegiate athletics programs is required, master’s degree preferred. Knowledge and compliance of all rules and guidelines set by the NCAA Division II and South Atlantic Conference is necessary. Ability to uphold confidentiality, work collaboratively and exhibit Anderson University’s Christian mission through all interactions also required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills essential.
