Anderson University’s Athletic Department invites applications for the Head Coach of Women’s Softball. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The University seeks a candidate with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning.

The Head Coach of Softball reports directly to the Vice President for Athletics. Duties include, but are not limited to, strategically leading and developing student athletes; recruiting prospective students/athletes to build program; following up on academic progress with students; coaching at practices and competitions; teaching athletes new concepts and ideas; assisting with practice/practice preparation, game preparation and assisting with equipment. Additional administrative responsibilities include managing the departmental budget, community and public relations, fundraising, and other recordkeeping and documentation duties as needed.

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University and 3-5 years of softball coaching experience, preferably at the college level. Knowledge of NCAA regulations, current first aid and CPR certifications and a valid driver’s license are also required. Excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to successfully lead a team are required. Master’s degree preferred.
