South Dakota Mines is accepting applications for the Head Men’s Basketball Coach position. As a member of
NCAA
Division II and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (
RMAC
), our program competes at a high level while emphasizing academic excellence. The position is a 12-month benefitted position, working 10 months at 100% effort and 2 months at 50% effort.
Responsibilities:
The Head Coach will oversee all aspects of the Men’s Basketball program, including administration, instruction, development, and recruitment of student-athletes who meet South Dakota Mines’ strong academic standards. Additional responsibilities include hiring and supervising staff, budget management, scheduling, fundraising, and running camps. The Head Coach will also promote a culture of academic and athletic success and collaborate with the strength and conditioning staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred
3+ years of coaching experience (head coaching and/or collegiate experience preferred)
Proven ability to recruit and develop student-athletes at the
NCAA
D-II level
