The United States Naval Academy invites applications for the position of Head Men’s Varsity Basketball Coach.
The Head Men’s Varsity Basketball Coach is responsible for all aspects of a highly competitive NCAA Division I Basketball program in the Patriot League, including organization, direction, and administration. Coaching responsibilities will also include the recruitment of student-athletes who meet the academic and physical entrance requirements for an appointment to the Naval Academy. The successful candidate will have displayed commitment to compliance with NCAA and Naval Academy regulations, as well as a dedication to the moral, mental and physical development of midshipmen. Applicants of impeccable personal and professional integrity who have demonstrated documented leadership and success in the sport are invited to apply.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Candidates must have an extensive and accomplished coaching background in the sport of intercollegiate men’s basketball, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, exemplary character, and a proven ability to recruit quality student athletes. Priority consideration will be given to those candidates who have demonstrated successful coaching achievement at the Division I level.
