Manhattan University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking applications for a Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach is responsible for all aspects in leading a competitive NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse program to include, but not limited to: coaching (practice and in-game), recruiting, meeting NCAA APR requirements, fund-raising, positive encouragement towards student-athlete development, scheduling, and hiring staff.
The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach must be fully committed to all NCAA, MAAC Conference, and the Manhattan University Department of Intercollegiate Athletic policies and procedures, and will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units.
Reports To: The Senior Associate AD / Internal Operations
• Must demonstrate the ability to recruit, coach and teach highly talented student-athletes.
• Demonstrate the ability to market and promote Manhattan women’s lacrosse.
• Must exhibit leadership and professional behavior in dealing with student-athletes.
• Must be a team player, and have the ability to support and assist other employees.

• Manage and direct the program.
• Recruit, teach and demonstrate coaching skills.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, former players, faculty, alumni and staff.
• Competing and scheduling.
• Manage a fiscally sound budget.
• Work cooperatively with athletic personnel, attends department meetings and activities.
• Represent the University positively when interacting with the community, alumni, high school and club coaches, media and general public.
•Responsible for evaluating assistant coaches.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
• 3 + years of full-time prior experience at the Division I level.
• Assertive, outgoing, hard-working and resourceful.
• Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships and create partnerships with a wide range of constituent groups.
• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Required to travel and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail and keep specific timelines.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to problem solve.
• Ability to work effectively with coaches, students, faculty, administration, alumni, and community.
