What We Are Looking For
The Performance Dietitian will be responsible for assisting in providing support, education, and direction to student athletes with nutrition-based programs to improve athletic performance and foster lifelong healthy behaviors. This position will report to the Director of Football Performance Nutrition and assist with Baylor Football food service operations and competition nutrition needs, individual student-athlete nutrition interventions, and team education. This role will include travel for away games for Baylor Football. The Performance Dietitian will also be responsible for oversight of Performance Nutrition needs for select Olympic teams.
You must be a self-starter who works efficiently, possess the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred candidates will have experience working with elite athletes (particularly at the collegiate level), familiarity with meal planning platforms (i.e. Teamworks Nutrition), and a strong performance nutrition knowledge base. Additionally, the person selected for the position must be a Registered Dietitian with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and have the ability to obtain Texas licensure. A Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), or eligibility for certification, is preferred.
A Bachelor's degree, one year of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and two years of relevant faith are preferred.
